How we work / Method 01

We diagnose before we prescribe.

A Navigator doesn’t arrive with a predetermined product to sell. I learn the terrain, identify where things are getting stuck, set a heading and help build the system that moves the work forward.

Strategy → Systems → Execution

The navigation cycle

A working method, not a rigid formula.

Every business has its own terrain. The cycle gives us a practical way to understand it, act and keep learning.

STEP/01What is happening here, really?

Orient

Understand the business, environment, people, systems, goals and current reality.

STEP/02What is getting in the way?

Find the Real Problem

Separate the visible symptoms from the actual constraint preventing progress.

STEP/03Where are we trying to go?

Set the Heading

Define the destination and establish what matters most right now.

STEP/04What can we stop carrying?

Subtract the Noise

Remove unnecessary complexity, distractions, tools and competing priorities.

STEP/05What needs to exist to make progress?

Build the System

Create the smallest useful structure necessary to move forward.

STEP/06What will we do next?

Move

Put the system into operation instead of leaving strategy on the page.

STEP/07What did we discover?

Learn

Pay attention to what happens in the real world and what the work reveals.

STEP/08What should change now?

Adjust

Improve the system based on what actually happened, then begin again.

Why navigation

The real answer depends on the business.

Sometimes the answer is marketing. Sometimes it’s sales, operations, AI or automation. Sometimes it’s a repeatable process where none existed before. We start by understanding the need, not by choosing a tool.

Strategy is knowing where you want to go. Navigation is figuring out how to get there.

Let’s find what’s really getting in the way.

Tell me where things feel stuck. We’ll figure out what needs to happen next.
